THE 300 PROJECT
I lost my dad, Ed Reinders, to ALS. This disease takes everything: movement, independence, time. And it takes it fast. The 300 Project is my answer: one full day of doing the thing he loved most, for the people still fighting.
On August 25, I'll be swinging a golf club for twelve straight hours at 7 Iron Moncton, chasing as many 300+ yard drives as my body will give. Every swing raises money for ALS research and family support. Every dollar counts. Every ball matters.
Two ALS organizations are behind this event. One funds the research. One walks alongside families here at home. Both are fighting the same disease, and both totals roll up to the same $300,000 goal.
Drives national research: clinical trials, drug development, and the long push toward treatments that change the course of the disease.
Supports Maritime families with equipment loans, caregiver support, and direct help for people living with ALS across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Not sure? Either one is the right answer. I track both totals by hand and announce the combined number the night the event wraps.

7 Iron Moncton is backing donors with bay-time rewards. Donate to either fund, ALS Canada or ALS NB & NS, and unlock 50% off bay rental coupons.
Donate any amount, then come find me at 7 Iron on August 25 and I will hand you your ticket. One each, whether you gave ten dollars or five hundred.

Donate to either fund, in any amount. Then find me at 7 Iron on event day and I will give you your ticket. Winners drawn after the final ball at 8 PM.
Tickets are handed out in person only, by me, at 7 Iron on August 25. An online donation on its own does not enter you in the draw, so come and collect it.
Non-stop long-drive swings from 8 AM to 8 PM. Live-tracked all day.
Every drive over 300 yards is counted by TrackMan, and each one triggers The 300 Club sponsor pledges.
Raffles, giveaways, vendors, and a running donation tracker throughout the day.
Come for an hour, or stay for all twelve. Here's what's happening and when.
7 Iron Moncton · Tuesday, August 25 · Free to attend, all day.
I won't be the only one swinging on August 25. A second bay runs all day for guest challengers. Book a window, step up, and let it rip. One $50 step-up fee gets you in, and there's no limit on how many balls you hit. All ages and swing speeds welcome, and there are two ways to play it.
Take either one, or both. Whether you're chasing 300 or just want to put a few on the board for the cause, there's a spot for you.

The ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia is joining us at 7 Iron for the full twelve hours, with a table, staff and representatives on hand, and merchandise available on site.
Come talk to them. Ask questions. If ALS has touched your family, you are welcome here, whether you swing a club or not.

Society merchandise available throughout the day.
Anyone affected by ALS is welcome to come, stay, and be part of the day.
Local businesses set up at 7 Iron for the full twelve hours. Two of them are turning what they sell into donations. Come hungry, come caffeinated.
EPOCH Chemistry is building a custom roast for The 300 Project. Bags will be on sale at 7 Iron on event day, and every dollar from every bag goes to ALS.
They will be pouring on site from 9 AM to 4 PM to keep the bay and the crowd running, and 10% of every drink sold on the day goes to ALS as well.
That is the Carefree Cakery's line, not mine, and it is a strange and perfect fit for a day like this one. We will spend twelve hours counting drives, counting yards, counting dollars. They turn up and remind everyone what all that counting is actually for.
They are donating 168 baked goods to the event. Not discounting them, not splitting the take, donating them outright, which means every dollar that changes hands at their table goes straight to ALS.
Vegan and gluten-friendly options included, so nobody at this event has to stand there wanting something they cannot eat.
Your business picks a per-ball amount: $1, $2, $5, whatever fits. During the 12-hour marathon, every drive that clears 300 yards adds your pledge to the total, counted officially by TrackMan. When the event wraps, your pledge × the final 300+ yard ball count = your donation. Set a maximum cap so your total is never a surprise.
300 Club pledges can go to ALS Canada, to the ALS Society of NB & NS, or split between the two. You decide when the final count comes in, and we'll sort it out together by email after the event.
Shorebird Landing has pledged $1 for every ball hit over 300 yards, up to $2,000. That is the shape of it. Pick your number, set your cap, and let the day do the rest.
Only 10 businesses get a spot in The 300 Club. Each pledge partner is recognized on event day and included in the final tally announcement the night the event wraps.
A certified fitter running fittings on site.
Food, apparel, equipment, services. All welcome.
